Women in Engineering and Science (WIES) Design Competition

WIES LOGOThe WIES Design Competition is about helping youth discover the excitement of engineering and science through a fun and collaborative design competition. This year’s competition is going high tech and we will be making mobile apps! Apps are great for social networking and playing games on the go but could an app actually help someone to live a better, happier, healthier and safer life? Through workshops and with the help of engineering and scientist facilitators, you will have the chance to develop and build an app that might just solve a tough problem or help someone with a disability tackle their daily challenges.

When: July 9th, 10th & July 16th, 17th

Where: University of Toronto, St. George Campus,
Sandford Fleming Building and Bahen Centre

Participants: Participants are girls and boys aged 11-14. The cost of the competition is $65.00 and this registration fee includes lunch on all four days and all materials.
