PEO East Toronto Chapter New License Certificate Ceremony

Dear PEO East Toronto Chapter member,

On behalf of Professional Engineers of Ontario – East Toronto Chapter, I want

to invite you to celebrate the achievement of the new Licensed Professional Engineers. All chapter members are invited to join us for the celebration, and the event is virtual due to the pandemic. You are cordially invited to attend the virtual PEO East Toronto Chapter Ceremony on the evening of Tuesday, May 12, 2021.

This event will give us an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the engineering profession with our colleagues. There will be two guests joining the event:

MPP Chris Glover

Chris Glover was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in 2018 as the Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) representing the riding of Spadina-Fort York. He is the Official Opposition Critic for Technology Development and Innovation.
Prior to his election to the legislature, Chris was a Toronto District School Board Trustee, a member of the Toronto Board of Health and an Adjunct Professor at York University.
Initiatives he’s led include:
-Working with residents, business owners, housing advocates and people experiencing homelessness to advocate for solutions to the homelessness crisis in Toronto
-Holding town halls to discuss cuts to education, explore affordable housing and consider solutions for the climate crisis
-Creating a Federation of Residents Associations for South Toronto (FoSTRA) in order to have one loud voice when advocating for issues
-Co-founded a community care and food program to help support those most vulnerable in the community.
